Software : Foxit Reader 1.3
Homepage : http://www.foxitsoftware.com

Foxit Reader is a freeware which allows users to view the PDF files. The reason I've chosen it to review is that it's a program which out performs Adobe's acrobat reader. The best thing about this software is that it is so light in size that it loads up really fast, much faster than Acrobat reader.

As I said that it is freeware and so small in size that opening of PDF files are fast. Infact I opened up a PDF file of 188 MB!!!!! and it didnt took even a sec. to open it.

And there's a good news for those who consider themselves as newbies in the field of computers and i.e. that this software doesnt need any installation, just double click on the exe file and it makes itself the default application for PDF files.

One more thing and that is it supports all type of PDF files unlike Acrobat where there is a problem in opening up the files when there is an older version of the software is installed.

After all these benefits, there is one small disadvantage (according to me it is not, but for some it may be!) and that is that it fails to open files in browser as it misses the browser plugin.

Here's some of the advantages of Foxit Reader :

1. Freeware.
2. Download size of just 1.17 MB!
3. No need to install.

A small disadvantage of Foxit Reader :

1. Doesnt open the PDF files in browser i.e. it doesnt have a browser plugin.

Rating : 5 dino out of 5
