First of all, make sure that you've read the whole article and then think what do you think about that topic. After that, post a comment which has some good content in it and explains your thoughts and view towards that post.
This way the author will get more interested in providing more and more quality content and thus you'll be the one who'll be in the benefit.
Also, make sure that if you have a website then dont forget to leave your website's address because if not many then atleast the Blog Owner or Post writer will visit your site and I think there is no harm in getting another hit on your website and which can convert into a potential regular reader.
While most of the blog hide your email address if they want you to mention it but make sure that if you are submitting your email address then you must be sure that you are submitting it to a safe place and that your information will not be shared by others and secondly in case you need to mention your email address in the posts then you must replace @ with {at} or you must put "@" in between inverted commas, this will protect your email address from the spam bots and will keep your Inbox SPAM FREE!
