Anyway, coming to the point that finally Google has brought the WINDOWS REPLACEMENT version of Picasa. Users can download the software bundle which includes : PICASA - The software itself, WINE - the windows emulator for Linux & Gecko Engine. They can download the bundle from here : Picasa for Linux.
Yes, Google has developed the software with the help of Wine & Mozilla's Gecko Engine. Wine is basically the windows emulator for linux and Google is claiming that even though it is build for WINE there is no problem of slow operation of the software. They are claiming so, because they've developed the software on the stable build of WINE. It was always difficult for me to arrange my photographs and was looking for a better way of organising them...I hope Google Brings other good softwares too for linux
