Picasa Web Album is here!

Few days back, there were some hints of Google's photo upload and sharing service and they were calling it Picasa Web Album. Now, they've officialy launched the service. However, the signups are again first come first serve basis! I tried my luck and got into the service and to my surprise, without getting any invitation I was able to use the service, I am sure this will not be the case in short while.

The service seems to be good and I hope they integrate it well with other servcies like Gmail, Blogger and Orkut. I still need to check through it compeletely and will try to find out how good the service and where it lacks. With some sneak features and looks, I think it will get a tough competition from well established - Flickr.com, Slide.com but who knows that the GOOGLE THING BUZZ will take away few customers from them.

I'll comeup with the review of the service in some time, till then go ahead and try to catch the glimps of the service or signup fast so that you dont have to wait for the invitation.
