When will beta be taken off from web 2.0 services ?

Monday, July 31, 2006

Well, it is quite funny that few days back I was thinking about the updates in the web 2.0 services and that how many word processor services have actually updated their service. And just then Zoho came out with this article : Is Zoho Focused ?

Well, in blog post "mani" has mentioned about amount of updates which Zoho engineers have made in the zoho products. This is a good step because it actually tells the users that the service which they are using is constantly updated by the makers and doesn't leave them thinking with the question which I've mentioned in the title of the topic.

Now, after I read the whole blog post by mani, I came up with this question for other services also, because we see that almost each and every service which we are using on the internet and has emerged in last 2 years is having the tag BETA along with it. Now, it is bad or good, I am not sure about it but it seems to me that it is good for the companies because they are getting what they want and that is customer and the information :)
