Active Virus Shield, Is the Anti-Virus software which will be provided for free to all the internet users. The software will be provided for free because AOL feels that viruses are big threat and security against them is the basic need of any computer user and that every neccessity must come for free. Even though it is not a full featured product and offers basic services only. But, still it is a good alternative against buying expensive security programs from Norton or Mcafee.
