Google Earth Helped In Getting Award!
Tuesday, August 01, 2006
Google earth team must be jumping from joy as they were recognized as a good helping hand when Hurrican Kartrina had hit the Gulf Coast. Sounds strange, huh? Well, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency has given the award to Google as Google Earth software helped many rescue workers and U.S. air force to find the level of disaster and to find out people who were stranded.
That is not only good recognition but it is a good thing that the software which people thought was fun is actually helping in saving the life of people.
Now, the question is that which version did they use to help people. Was it free, plus or pro? :)
