We all know how popular Google search engine is and how it moves the web. However other Google products are facing tough competition with other companies. In last few days, there was a lot of talk about the competition Google faces from YouTube for its video hosting service i.e. Google Video.

So, to make sure that Google gets the good amount of share of the video hosting market, Google took a step and inserted the link of Google Video on the hompepage. As we discussed in the last post that a small change in Google always gets the attention and that in turn helps Google a lot!

Now, Bill Tancer from Hitwise noticed this and thought of checking the change in the traffic of Google Video. And in his report he revealed that the it is the power of Google's homepage which led to huge boost in the traffic of Google Video. It is surprising to know that the small link doubled the traffic of Google Video. Here's the graph of the change in the traffic of Google Video :

Now, just imagine that Google is about to put the link of your website on their homepage!!!!!!! Guess what will happen, don't know the answer...let me answer it for you...Your site will shutdown! (because you will run out of bandwidth, he he he)
