Take Print Outs From Office While Sitting At Home!

Sunday, August 06, 2006

Yes, that is right. It is possible now and that too in the simplest of the manner. You will just need a small piece of software to do this a bit difficult task of taking the print outs in office while you are sitting at home. To give you the exact picture and come out of this scenario, now it is possible for everyone to take printouts from a remote location. Print Anywhere is a software which helps you to do this.

Now, you may ask that why I need to do this when I can simply email the document which I want to print. Well, true but Amit Agrawal gives a good reason for it and he visualizes this situation that "you have a big PDF file (big enough that it won't be easy to send through email attachment) and you just want to print out only 2 pages out of that 100 or page report. Then what will you do?)

The makers of the software also gives you certain reasons for using it :

* I want to ensure the documents are printed and not just received
* I don’t want to send (email) electronic copies of the documents
* My recipient does not have the application to open my document
* I want to print paper photos on my relatives’ printer
* I want to ensure the documents are printed only on a specific printer
* I want to print directly from my applications as if it were on my local printer
* Microsoft printer sharing on my home network doesn’t seem to work for me
* The document is too big to print locally and fax (and I want to save paper!)
* Fax quality is not enough, international fax calls are expensive.
* I want to print now. For free!

How this thing works ?

You just need to download the software and then install it on the machine from where you want to take the print out. Keep it running on the both the machines and then you you can simply find the printer and give the print command.

Any other ways of using the internet printing?

Well, there are certain other ways which can be used to perform this task. There is one which is the inbuilt feature of Windows, but that involves different series of steps to be followed on both the computers. There are so many steps that even a pro will face a problem in completing the steps.

So, I'll suggest that you can simply use this great piece of software and enjoy printing :)
