It seems that Google is integrating Audio ads and will allow advertisers to purchase the audio ads soon. After logging into Google Accounts, I noticed a new link of Google Audio ADs. However, when I tried to go to that link, it returned a page which said UNDER CONSTRUCTION.
Reviews are really important for everyone. We all know that how important feedbacks are and we all look upon someone to give some feedback (be it positive or negative) on our work or any task which we’ve done. And the importance of the reviews or feedbacks becomes really important when we know that our work will be shown or will be presented in front of hundreds, thousands or probably 
more people. We will always want that (if we get into any situation like this) a certain group of people to review our work and then give us some tips to improve it.
ReviewBasics is such a (Free) service which helps you in getting the review of your work in a very easy way. You can get your work reviewed by your friends or colleagues using this service and then decide on making the changes in your work accordingly. ReviewBasics concentrates mainly on designs, documents or images and provides various annotation tools to the reviewer, so that the reviewer can easily point out the changes he/she would like to see in that document. The service uses Flash technology and it delivers. I’m sure any web designer will just simply fall in love with this service and that too instantly.
OK I know that I’m already quite late in informing about iPhone or writing anything about it but I guess that I was somehow holding myself (for no reason at all) from writing anything about it. But this is what I call real buzz! I’m sure that all of you must have heard about something or the other about iPhone and now I’m writing this post to just sum up some of the events about this such a controversial phone…
I’ll not go ahead and explain each and everything but will mention the key events and will end up the post in a hope that by end of this post, world will not see any other hot news or controversy about this new release from Apple! So lets look at some points and you decide yourself that what exactly you think about this phone.
* Apple decides that they’ll be integrating Ipod in a mobile phone.
* Blogosphere names it iPhone.
* Apple can’t use the trademark iPhone because Cisco has the trademarks of iPhone.
* Apple launches iPhone and simultaneously Cisco decides that they’ll let Apple use iPhone as the brand name for the new phone.
* Cisco files a law suit against Apple as Apple didn’t took the permission from Cisco for using the trademark.
Holy! One product but so many frills attached to it. Now, it is turning into such a mess that everyday when you’ll open up your eyes and when you’ll hold the newspaper or read news online or watch TV news or any other media you’ll see something or the other happening with this iPhone!
Well, Now can someone go ahead and ask Cisco that when they decided that they’ll let Apple use the trademark then why exactly they are filing a suit against them. Does it really matter that Apple took their permission or not? I agree that it would have been nice on Apple’s part if they would have took the permission but still, a law suit when Cisco allowed Apple to use this term?
Well, apart from this many web services are now aiming to make their products compatible with Safari as this so called iPhone (well, we are still not sure that what it will be called) has fully functional Safari browser and has wireless capabilities and thus most of the startups (Web 2.0 companies) are hoping that sales of this cool gizmo will help in making their services popular!
I recently discovered a cool facility of Skype. I’ve to say that I’m falling in love with Skype recently and enjoying the free calls a lot. I know this is available in other messengers as well and Google Talk gives good voice quality but still there is something about skype which makes it much better than others!
Anyway, today I discovered a cool feature of skype while I was sitting along with my friend (rootprotect) and fell more in love with skype after that! Anyway, the feature which we discovered was that we can make free SkypeOUT calls to toll free numbers! I’m sure that your next move will be that you’ll close the browser window but hey before you think that I’m crazy please care to read further.
OK, the new thing which I didn’t know about was that this works for all the toll free numbers available globally. So, if you are in U.S.A. or India or any other country and want to make a phone call to some company which has a toll free number in U.K. then use Skype to make the call as it will be done for free, which otherwise is not possible through normal phones i.e. P.S.T.N.
Where exactly this can be helpful?
Till this time, We’ve seen some of the great blogging tools but all of them were desktop blogging clients but this time we are going to write the review of a blogging platform. The platform is TeraPad. The blogging platform is currently a hosted solution and doesn’t have the option of letting you download the whole software and then letting you choose the option of hosting on your own servers. Anyway, that is also one of the good features as one doesn’t have to take pains for finding and installing the package. Let’s look at some of the features of this blogging platform…
PROS of terapad :
1. More than a blog : The best thing about this service is that it is much more than a blog. It has a set of tools which make it much more powerful. It has inbuilt shopping cart (paypal shop), image gallery, web page publishing, job board, forum, integration with third party tools and a lots more. Well, there are so many features that it becomes really difficult to list them here and that is what I love in one service and that is huge list of features and terapad has scored a 10 on 10 in this section.
2. Hosted Solution : Terapad is a hosted solution and thus anyone can start their own terapad site in just few minutes and that too without any technical knowledge. They take the pain of keeping your site up and running and that makes things much more simple. They give 2 GB of space and that also keeps things nice on your pocket.
3. WYSIWYG Editor : It has the WYSIWYG editor and thus publishing things are quite easy. The good thing is that it lets people insert videos as well! The videos can be inserted from Google Video, Grouper and the big daddy of video services and that is YouTube!
4. Templates and template editor : It has some decent templates however they are not the best but it has the template editor which lets you easily make changes in the whole template and the good thing is that it is all controlled with CSS and thus you don’t have to worry about learning anything new as CSS is relatively simple and you can also find various templates around in the web and that too quite easily.
5. Use of domain names : Another beautiful feature of the service is that it lets you use your own domain name. You just have to change the CNAME records and you can make use of your own domain name.
6. Oh I forgot one thing! Its Free : Do you think I need to explain anything in this one :D
