Kakle (Rishi found out this search engine.) is a new search engine (I guess that world still needs a new search engine) which works on Pay-Per-Click model. Confused ? Even, I got confused in starting :). Anyway, this search engine works in normal way like other search engines work, however it lets advertisers to bit for certain keywords so that their search results can come higher up in the search results. In order to attract new users they are giving away 5 GB of email space as well. This way the question arises that whether this search engine will be able to make Search engine optimizers a hard time ?

PayPerPost took the Honor of buying part of performancing and thus Nick Wilson had to rename the most used blogging editor (survey done by Problogger.net) to ScribeFire from Performancing for Firefox. Nick Wilson (the founder of Performancing) has already mentioned this in his personal blog that it is not the full performancing which will be sold, only some part of it is sold to Payperpost.
Now, lets see how good the blogging software (rather plugin) is and lets cheer about the addition of one more blogging client in the growing list of reviewed desktop blogging clients. It is to be noted that the name has been changed to ScribeFire and with a new tag lineFire up your blogging but they have to yet make changes in the plugin itself as it still says Performancing for Firefox. I think that they’ll be making the changes soon. Anyway, lets not look at that but lets look at the working of the software/plugin.
PROS of ScribeFire :
1. Direct blogging from the browser : It is said that because blogging is something which is related to the various news and that most of the blogging is nothing but the circulation of the news, so it is always good that if one can use the browser itself in making the posts. That’s why Flock is doing good in the blogosphere.
2. Support for major blogging platforms : It supports all major blogging platforms like wordpress, blogger, typepad etc. In case it fails to list your blog platform then it has the ability on that blog as well, but you’ll need to manually configure it.
3. WYSIWYG & HTML editing support : ScribeFire allows users to write the content in the WYSIWYG environment and in cases where you need to edit the HTML, it allows that as well. Thus, it leaves no scope for cribbing :)
4. FTP upload support : It also lets bloggers to upload the images directly from the plugin itself using FTP. This is one of the must have features and I’m impressed that this plugin has this capability. Many blogging clients which are much bigger in size than this plugin, miss this feature.
5. Extensible using plugins and themes : Another impressive feature of this plugin is that it lets users to install plugins in this plugin itself! Basically giving you the capability of enhancing this plugin. The list of the plugins is not big but still, we can always expect more plugins or add-ons in near future.
6. Useful features : It has the ability to store unpublished posts, automatic insertion of Technorati links. It gives users the ability to check the analytics of the blog too and that can be done by the use of Performancing metrics.

May this year bring lots of prosperity in everyone’s life. And one thing, which everyone thinks of is World Peace. Let’s hope we see many more people working towards it, rather than only think about it (that includes me as well.).

One more thing, I would like to stress in this post and that will be the security of everyone. Lets make sure that we’ll try our level best to be secure and will help others too. As I’d mentioned in my earlier post that there are people who are playing with emotions of people and using various files (which appear as greetings) but are worms or viruses. This was related to Christmas but these people are actually trying to ruin the New Year’s eve as well.
There are various files floating in the internet which display them as greetings but are actually Trojans. There is one such email, which F-secure blog noticed about and has reported about it as well. The email states Happy New Year and has one attachment which is named as PostCard.EXE. So, we have to make sure that we are downloading any such emails and we must delete all these files. Don’t forget to update your security software and there is always good thing and that is awareness. I’ll suggest you to read various books which will help you in being safe from these stupid tricks.
