Google Adsense & Yahoo Mybloglog, two important tools of the blogosphere and most of the bloggers will agree to me that these tools are helping them or have helped them in blogging at some stage. However, now the question is rising that whether, you should use these tools together or not ?

The reason for this question is that Google adsense has a policy, where in it asks bloggers to not display or disclose, the click through ratio to any third party and on the other hand, Mybloglog is a tool which acts as an analytics service for bloggers and helps them make their blog more useful and interactive. However, as Mybloglog is an analytics service and it also tracks down, the clicks on the Google Adsense units as well. So, it means that Yahoo is getting the information of the adsense clicks.

blueorgainzer.jpgYes, the title is absolutely correct! At this stage, we are using various browsers but all of them are not intelligent. They don’t know what we want and what we want to do and thus as a user, we end up putting lot of efforts in searching what we actually want to do, on the internet. Well, I was actually going through one of the books “Everyone’s an expert” by Seth Godin and the book’s first 3-4 pages actually say the same thing that when we are looking for something on the internet then, we just don’t go ahead and buy it, we actually research on it and then take some decision.

Imagine a situation where you come across a movie on the internet and after looking at that movie ad or name, what can be your next question? Most likely, what critics says about this movie, who are the stars in the movie etc. etc. Now, imagine that how much time you will invest in finding that information over the web, Scared! yeah that may take some amount of your precious time.
I’m sure that after this you’ll want your browser to actually do all the needful for you, so that you can save your precious time, isn’t that the case? Anyway, the sad part is that at this point of time, there is no such browser however, luckily we’ve got a plugin, which can do the same for us and the plugin is Blue Organizer.

What exactly is Blue Organizer ?

Well, Blue organizer is a plugin for Firefox and Flock, which creates a contextual menu (accessible through right click) and gives you the power to decide various things which you can think of, while you are researching over some topic. It makes your life simpler, by allowing you to find the related links on various places like Google, Technorati, blogs and it also helps you find various photos, videos, books (and what not) related to that particular topic.

windowsvistawall.jpgWe all try to spice up our computer screens with various wallpapers and try to make sure that our desktop looks different from others (human nature). Anyway, I thought of this and thought of bringing some cool wallpapers and the ones which are actually based on Windows Vista. The wallpapers are not made by me at all, they are part of Windows Vista and I’m sure that after looking at all these wallpapers, You’ll simply say WOW!

Well, I would certainly like to thank Brajeshwar for bringing out this cool release and also for taking out the image in this post from his own post. Although, this pack was released by him in November of 2006 but without mentioning his effort, this blog post wouldn’t have been complete. Anyway, apart from the wallpaper pack from Brajeshwar, there are many wallpapers by Hamad Darwish, who’s two photographs were chosen for final Windows Vista release. Hamad is giving away rest of the photographs as wallpapers at his personal website. The wallpapers on his website are those, which couldn’t make in the final release of Windows Vista but I’ve to say that you’ll definitely like them.

gmail.jpgGmail has been updated once again and this time, they are allowing users to fetch the emails from external email accounts. This is done through the POP accounts and unfortunately all the users are not blessed with this new feature. They’ll be getting this feature slowly and steadily. Now, I’ll discuss the importance of this feature and why it was required the most and apart from that I’ll be giving you the tips and tricks of managing the Gmail account and how one can make emailing more productive by following these tips.
We all understand that emails are part of our lives and its management is equally important. In fact, it’s been observed that people who can manage emails well, get fast promotions! (Oh my, I did rocket science and have come up with this conclusion..he he Just trying to be funny, don’t expect any promotion after applying these tips :p).

1. Making use of labels : Well, the good thing about Gmail is that it uses the labels instead of folders (although, the concept is similar) and I’ve noticed that many users, just don’t use labels as they don’t know the concept of labels. Creating the label is very simple and you can simply create a new label, by selecting the message and then under the MORE ACTIONS… menu, select New Label. For e.g. for any official email, I simply apply the label OFFICIAL or for any personal email, I keep ready the PERSONAL label.

2. Using Archive : Well, it is always said that one must keep the inbox clean as that increases the productivity and that’s why from the day one, make sure that you apply the Label on the emails and then archive them. This way you’ll be able to keep the inbox free from the emails and you’ll be able to always go through those emails through labels.

3. Creating Filters : Again, keeping the inbox clean is important but it can be hectic when you receive lots of emails in a day. But, creating the filters can make the life simple. It is exactly similar to RULES in Outlook. Anyway, to create the rules, simply go on to Create a Filter just next to the search box buttons on top of Gmail and creating the rules are quite simple and self explanatory, just remember one rule and that is your idea is to keep the inbox clean!

Some time back when I was looking for a desktop blogging client, I was wondering that which will be the good blogging software and which will make my life easier while blogging. But, after looking at a good amount of blogging clients (although, it was difficult to find the best of the lot), I decided that I’ll review the desktop blogging clients so that other bloggers can make use of the blogging softwares for making things simpler. Here’s the list of some of the desktop blogging client, which I’ve reviewed and this post is to summarize them and to make sure that everyone can easily get hold of those reviews and find them at one place.

Now, before I list all the blogging clients, I would like to stress on few points which tells you that why it is good to use desktop blogging client as compared to default editor.

1. It creates backup : Desktop blogging clients keeps the published posts on the local hard drive and thus one has got the backup of each and every post which is posted through, blogging client and thus in worse situations like data loss, you’ll not be worried about loosing all the posts. Only comments will be lost, although, if you make the backup regularly then you don’t have to really worry but still it is good to have the posts backed up through blogging client as well.

2. Browser crash : You may be working on the best post and suddenly you notice that everything has gone as there was a browser crash, Alas! but that’s what happens a lot to people. Although, wordpress has released the auto save feature but that wordpress only and that too the newest version, it may be that other blogging platform may not have auto save feature. And because blogging clients have that feature, the fear of loosing the posts gets low.

3. Easy file uploading : Blogging clients easily integrate images and easily uploads the images to the on the fly, while publishing the posts and thus one saves time and effort.

4. Spell Check : Blogging client includes the spell checkers and thus one can be sure that they’ll not publish the post with many typos.

Well, there are many more features which one can find useful or make someone prefer a blogging client software over the default editor, however, it is surprising that most of the blogger still use the default editors only. However, I prefer to use blogging clients and I always suggest people to use them only. Now, let me give you the list of the desktop blogging clients reviewed by me :
