Zoho had a utility service, which monitors your websites up time and unfortunately, I didn’t even know about it. However, that service is now out of beta and allows users to setup the websites, so that it can check the uptime of the service and lets you decide that your current webhost is good or not ?

The site can be extremely helpful as there are downtimes, when you may be sleeping and you never know when you can get miss a good important client or may be a long time visitor or reader for your website.

Few days back one of the ReviewSaurusr (oops, web 2.0 effect on the dino!!) Abhishek Bhatnagar of TechnixUpdate asked a question that how exactly he can insert images in the Windows Live Writer as he’s using Blogger as his platform and it is only possible to publish the images with Windows live writer through FTP. Now, that is actually a big concern because, if one already has webspace then the person will love to upload the whole blog on that webspace only and not on blogger. But, now that we know that this option is not there, then lets see what alternative can be used, to insert the images in blog posts through Windows Live Writer and that too for blogger platform. Although, I’m late in making this post as Abhishek has already moved over to self hosted Wordpress, but I thought that at least this post will help others.

Well, I was recently linked by Phalgun of Tech Live for the tech link train. Tech link train is just a small program going in the blogosphere, which helps in spreading the link love and has other benefits. Now, I would like to thank Phalgun for including me in the list and now I’ll continue this Tech Link Train from here on and will try and send it to more stations :)

Here’s what you have to do in order to increase this train link :D

1. Write a short paragraph at the beginning of your post and link back to the blog that put you on the list in the paragraph. This isn’t a suggestion. You need to break up the duplicate content string. Someone took the time to add you so the least you can do is give them an extra linkback.

2. Copy the list of originals below COMPLETELY and add it to your blog. If you would like a different keyword for your blog then change it when you do your post and it should pass to most blogs with that keyword.

3. Take the adds from the blog that added you and place them in the “Originals” list.

4. Add no more than 5 new TECH, SCIENCE, or CONSUMER ELECTRONICS blogs to the list in the “My Adds” section.

Well, I’m adding my list down below and I would like to say here that although, I’m not the frequent commenter (just my nature) but that doesn’t mean that I’m not reading their blog. Well, a small and simple post but equally important too and that is if at all you’ve upgraded your wordpress recently to Wordpress 2.1.1 (in around last 2-3 days) then please upgrade your wordpress to version 2.1.2. The reason for that is, that some cracker had uploaded, a cracked copy of wordpress on their servers and that you must upgrade to be safe from any problems.
