Vector graphics or any other graphics are not my piece of cake. So, I thought that I’ll take the advice of other people, who are better at graphics. Mahesh Bhat has written a good review about InkScape which is a freeware and is a great software for Vector Graphics. He has reviewed the software on the basis of Price, usability and compatibility and I think that any software review needs these points only.
User Interface (UI) of Inkscape is good and is a standard like those other open source softwares of other genres (GIMP, Scribus). Thus, in terms of navigation and other activities, the learning curve is not steep. Of course, there will be a need for understanding of vector graphic tools, but that would be the case with any other vector graphic software.
Skype which is one of the most fantastic internet applications ever built. The beauty of this program enhances, because it lets third party developers to integrate more functionalities to it. Now, We’ll look at the 5 most useful plugins for skype, those plugins which will certainly help you in various situations. The list was long and most of the plugins were really good and it was difficult to choose the best of the lot, but still here is the list and I’m sure that you’ll find these plugins extremely helpful. 1. WhiteBoard Meeting : WhiteBoard Meeting is a plugin which allows you to draw vector graphics, it allows you to insert text and images and various other things. It acts as a white board and the person sitting on the other side, gets the real time updates and thus it comes real handy, when you want to point out something on a picture or draw something.

Skype Muter : Skype Muter plugin is helpful for people like me, who love to hear music while they are working and this plugin comes in real handy, when you get an incoming call and it lets you lower down the music or lets you pause it and whenever the call ends, the music starts from where it was stopped. It supports Winamp, Windows Media player, Itunes and others.

ToonDoo, which was launched recently is a site which lets you create comic strips with pre-built images or through images which can be uploaded by you and various text. This is a flash based application and has some good set of tools to help you in making great comic strip.
The tools have got various backgrounds, faces, props, characters and various text bubbles. After you create a comic strip, you can easily publish it over the web and then you can embed those comic strips in blogs as well. This website was launched by Jambav, an Indian company and which is backed by Adventnet (which is parent company of my favorite online office application service and that is Zoho).
Please note : The above comic strip is one of the most popular ones on ToonDoo and that’s why I’ve placed it on the blog. Believe me, its funny too :)
I was surprised to see this as I’m not sure that from how long the support articles are available in Hindi at Microsoft’s support site. I’m sure that this will help Microsoft in increasing their depth in Indian Market as a very huge section in India, will prefer Hindi over English and they’ll find it extremely helpful, if they can get the support in their preferred language.
ThinkFree -an online office service or we can call them a good competitor of the best online office which is Zoho, although Thinkfree has this Best Online Office On Earth as their tagline. Nothing against ThinkFree but Zoho is way superior than other services. Thinkfree is also a solid competitor and offers a good online office solution.
In the recent news thinkfree has released a plugin for Wordpress, where they are allowing users to view the office documents with ease over at wordpress blogs and that too without worrying about any requirement of a plugin or any special software. Check out the demo of the plugin over @ wpstar.
Apart from that, thinkfree has also released a web service called thinkfree docs, which is a social place, where you can display your documents and you can get feedback, comments and read other documents and any document which will be used by the wordpress plugin will be displayed over @ thinkfree docs. ThinkFree has also released the API for web developers, so that they can make use of this thinkfree viewer and integrate this service in various web applications.
