joost.jpgJoost the Internet TV startup is slowly and surely getting closer to general public. Right now, it is in beta and is available for beta testers only. However, recently Joost gave thousands of invitations to its current beta testers (your truly is one of those, that means you can simply post a comment and ask for an invitation).

Joost was able to score $ 45 million in funding from a group of five investors and which includes Viacom & CBS. Viacom and CBS have already signed up deals with Joost for providing the content for the service and this means that YouTube will certainly have difficult days in future. What do you think about that ?

Joost is getting more and more popular these days. I too tried it 2-3 times. Only thing is that you need a good internet connection, otherwise it won’t be fun watching.

Absolutely Joost is simply good only if you have a better internet connection, at least 1 Mbps is required to watch the TV without any pause.

Agreed, with good internet connection the clarity rocks. I have been using Joost with 100 Mbs just like another TV ;-) only major drawback is they currently have only 2 indian channels in the list ;)
