Google Gears is a small utility which was launched by Google as an extension for Google Reader. This utility allows you to download the posts for offline viewing and then later synchronizes them when you go online.
This can be extremely handy for those who want to check the RSS feeds while they are not connected to the internet or they may want to invest time in going through the feeds.
There are many features & benefits of using Google Gears and here are some of them :
1. Works with Internet explorer and Firefox (didn’t check any other), I think it will work with each browser which runs Google Reader.
2. Feeds work much faster as it doesn’t load up any images & doesn’t refreshes after every few minutes, thus doesn’t use up the memory of the computer regularly.

You are a freelancer, or you work for some one, or you are a student, you would have by now created documents – large documents. As every writer knows, we need to organize the document into proper paragraphs under proper headings and sub-headings. And when you want to change the formating, if you had not planned for it, it will drive you insane by the sheer amount of repetitive work.
Let us take an example document. Note that it is not large, but it is sufficient for illustrating the problem.

Just assume that the document is large with several pages as opposed to the short one shown in the example. Now, the person reviewing it, or you yourself, needs to change the font of all the text – one font for the paragraph, and one for the headings and subheadings.

You go about selecting and chaning them all. After you are done with it, and feel you can finally take a break, another request may crop up:

I hope you understand now, when I say it can drive you insane.
So, here is a tip that you save you all the trouble. continue reading »

If you’ll have fast internet connection, then you’ll not find any problems even if you are using other applications which uses your internet connection.

Because it’s based on VoIP so the international calls are offered at very cheap rates and that’s where it helps you cut down the phone bills.
Another thing which impresses is that it allows companies to setup the network as PBX or Asterix thus allowing them to cut down the costs as every account within network can act as an phone extension! For more details check out their knowledge-base.
