Finjan is one of the latest security tool for Firefox and is one the must have install add-on according to me. It scans the websites in real time and tells you if the site is safe or not. It gives the suggestion on the Google Search, links mentioned in the web mails or basically any outgoing link on any page, if that page is safe to visit or not. I found this tool really helpful and will suggest every Firefox user to install rather I think it should be the default feature of Firefox.
Anyway, nothing is perfect and nor Finjan is and here are some of the improvements I’ll suggest to Finjan :
1. It doesn’t work for some pages : I’ve noticed that it doesn’t scan the outgoing links from some of the pages. I recently checked Technorati’s Top 100 blogs and it failed to show the status of those outgoing links. Anyway, I copied all the links and sent to myself in email and then it showed me the result and I was surprised to see that 3 blogs in that list were Malicious and those top blog which it showed as Malicious were : TreeHugger, DoshDosh & InstaPundit. Now, I’ll say that these are one of my regularly read blogs and none of them poses any security threat but it may be some of the JavaScript which may be causing the Finjan SecureBrowing to trigger the red alert.
Down below is the screenshot of all the blogs and their status :
2. It doesn’t tell you that which part is causing the problem : I’m glad that it tells us that which website causes problems but it fails to tell us exactly that what is the exact reason of the problem. I’m sure it will help webmasters to find out the problem and rectify it quickly. At least, those blogger’s who are really not techie will find it really useful.

VB doodle is a unique software which allows you to draw anywhere on your screen and then capture it. I believe such softwares have limited utility. However the readers are free to use the software and form their own opinion.
It contains nothing more than a simple toolbox which helps you chose colors and font specifications, draw figures and write text anywhere on your screen and save the captured image in JPG, BMP or GIF formats.
Although the software is unique it failed to impress me much. What it does can easily be done by any other screen capture tool. It hardly makes any difference if the figures are drawn before capturing the screen or after that.
Bottom Line:
I didn’t find it of much use, someone else might!

Amongst the giants of the arena of Screen Capture, this tiny software might seem like a negligible entity but you never know when it might turn out to be a savior for your fingers.
Purrint is a 135 KB software which makes your ‘Prt sc’ button do more than one jobs in a single hit. The miniature software keeps running in your tray without consuming any resources and as soon as you press your Print screen button it pops up with a small window containing a preview of your screen and the options for copying the image to your clipboard, saving it in different file formats or printing it directly. You can also automate any of the above mentioned options.

It does nothing more than saving a couple of mouse movements and keystrokes for you but when taking multiple screenshots, this can prove to be of great help.
Bottom Line:
Small and sweet but useful only when multiple screenshots are required.

We all know that how important traffic is for our websites and how much important role search engines play, when it comes to traffic. Now, the question is that how we can drive traffic to our websites using Google Image Search or how well we can optimize our images to drive traffic from the image search engines?
Here are some of the tips which will certainly help you in driving traffic, although it will not be huge but still any traffic on the website is useful!
1. Name the images well : When it comes to naming of the images, we really don’t care much and most of the times we’ll name them as 1.jpg, 2.jpg but if we name them well then the name of the image acts as a keyword and can be vital in appearing on top of the image search results. For e.g. if you have an image which is of a Kingfisher then instead of naming the image as 1.jpg try to name it as kingfisher.jpg.
2. Include Hyphen in name of images : Again, when it comes to naming of the images, its good to include as many as keywords you want but it will be even better if you include a hyphen in between those keywords. Taking the example of the Kingfisher again, I’ll say that it will be the best if you name it kingfisher-bird.jpg.
3. Make sure that you enter the ALT data : Don’t forget to include the ALT data of the images. Image search engines do rely heavily on that information and if you key in important keywords then it will be certainly of great help!
