firefox-rocksFirefox is my favorite browser, when it comes to surfing the web. I support Firefox and suggest everyone to install it (Ok, no need to flame all you opera and IE lovers. Everyone has an opinion and so do I). In the Thank You series, I would like to Thank Mozilla Corp. for providing such a wonderful browser.

Not only it helps me in browsing safely (phishing filters, pop-up blockers, avoids active x based malware), its extensive plug-ins ensure that I can easily browse the web the way I want.

We can make out the popularity of the Firefox just by running a small search on Google Trends and here’s the graph of the Firefox. It’s gaining more and more popularity and capturing the browser market slowly and slowly :

I would also like to Thank all the developers who took their time to develop the plug-ins and as a thank you note here is the list of plug-ins which I use & posting the links to their reviews :

1. Adsense Notifier : A great plugin which keeps track of your Adsense income and lets you see if any stupid activity is going on with your Adsense account.

2. Answers : This plugin tells you about the specific word when you left click on any word with ALT button pressed. The list in the link has some other cool Firefox plugins too.

3. ChatZilla : This plugin ensures that you can make use of IRC to its fullest and that too for free. There are other software which lets you access IRC but they are no where close to this plugin and its simplicity.

4. Colorzilla : This plugin is really useful for all the web developers as it lets you chose the color values with the click of a button.

5. CuteMenus : This Firefox extension which creates your Firefox menus look prettier. Although, isn’t something which is must but menus definitely look better.

This post is part of the Thank you! series, where I’m thanking all the software, services without whom my life would have been difficult. In this post, I would like to thank all the web applications (web 2.0 apps) which made my life a little easy :

1. Google and its services : I’ve listed a whole bunch of list of all the services of Google which I’ve used and which have helped me.

2. Flickr : What can be better than Flickr when it comes to sharing the photographs. The community of Flickr is just too good for any other photo sharing service.

3. Remember The Milk : Great service, which definitely helps you in managing your TO DOs in a better way.

4. Zoho and it’s services : Nothing can beat Zoho when it comes to online office. Zoho writer, Zoho sheet and all new Zoho show really gives the feeling of a proper online office application.

5. Del.Icio.Us : The services takes care of all the bookmarks. I don’t have to worry about losing them at all.

Merry X-Mas to all of you!

Have a wonderful holidays and a happy new year ahead.

googleI would like to thank Google for providing such a wonderful set of services and making me addictive all the way that I can’t imagine my life on the Internet without them. Although, Google has been playing the role of bully this year but still I keep on falling in love with it and have accepted the fact, that I can’t live without it.

1. Google Adsense : Google Adsense has been the major source of income of my blogs and I plan to keep them on my blog for long time. Without, Google Adsense it would have been difficult for me to continue blogging and taking the major step of leaving my day time job and get into the full time blogging and becoming a pro-blogger.

2. GMail : GMail, is undoubtedly the best email service on the Internet. It’s incredible interface and keyboard shortcuts help me manage, the enormous amount of emails I get everyday. It also helps me ensuring that I don’t have to worry about SPAM emails at all and thus it helps in the productivity.

3. Google Analytics : Google analytics helps me in keeping the track of number of readers, I get on my blog. This way I can set the plans for the blogs and ensuring that I can keep my readers happy and that I can provide the content they are looking for.

4. GTalk : Without, this service, it would have been difficult to keep in touch with my friends who are all hooked up to this service. Not only this software is light weight and doesn’t have those heavy and unneeded features, which are rarely required while chatting. GTalk still needs lot of improvement, but I’m sure that Google will certainly come up with some major updates in coming year.

5. Google Search : Of course, this service of theirs has enabled them to become such a huge enterprise. Without this service, searching of all those cool software and services would have been incredibly difficult for me.
