pl_balloon_tips There are cases when your computer gets slow or locks up because of a particular application because of high CPU usage or because a particular application hangs while doing a heavy task. Well, now you can easily avoid these kind of situations by making use of Process Lasso.

Process Lasso automatically adjusts the allocation of CPU cycles and lowers the priority of the application which may be using excessive CPU cycles. It gives priority to the applications which are running in the foreground and thus ensures that any background application doesn’t waste the useful system resources.

gOS is an Ubuntu based (which is based on Debian distro of Linux, wow! that’s a good chain!) operating system and it doesn’t mean Google Operating System. It means Good Operating system.

However, if you thought that it’s Google Operating System then I won’t blame you for that. After looking at the screenshot of the gOS Rocket (that’s the name of the version) anyone will say that it was released by Google Inc.

The idea behind gOS is that they want to provide an OS which is light weight and which can run most of the applications from the web.

zohomeetingtoolbar Zoho Meeting (review of Zoho Meeting) has been recently updated and in this update, they have integrated Skype with it. When two good products meet each other, then what do we get ? Great Service!

Zoho meeting has been an excellent service as it is one of the service, which can run on almost any platform, because it supports Java, Flash and ActiveX. There is a software which can run on windows based machines.

In this update, you an specify the Skype Id of the participants of the meeting and during the meeting, you’ll get the option of starting the Skype Conference and Skype will do the conference for you.

flextk-express FlexTk Express is a file management software which allows you to classify and categories files. It allows you to see that how and where space on your hard disk is being used. It has in built feature of finding out duplicates amongst individual folders or complete drives.

It lets you wipe the hard disk data, thus ensuring that no data can be recovered using any data recovering software in case you decide to sell your old computer or you decide to get rid of the hard disk alone.

Apart from that, I see FlexTk as a great replacement of Windows explorer too, it lets you easily go through folders and lets you view only specific type of files, with the help of sorting and filtering. Bookmarks help you in ensuring that you can easily navigate between your frequently accessed folders.

xdrive Back in 2005, AOL bought XDrive and decided to give away 5 Gb of space for free and then nearly faded away as far as the media hype is concerned. However, it seems that they have started to make various changes in the service to create the media hype again. However, this time around they are making some good changes in the service and making it much more useful!

bluestring AOL has decided that come up with two interfaces for different users using the X-Drive’s core technology. BlueString, a service which has been targeted for people who are concerned with storing the images and creating slideshows. BlueString is like XDrive shows, although the latter works better. It seems pretty useless to me that they’ve created BlueString although, same features are available in the main X-Drive service itself.

AOL has created a facebook application, which allows you to showcase your media files in your network of friends at facebook. AOL has certainly started working hard and accepted the fact that they should be following the users, rather than making users follow them.
