Last time I’d reviewed FlexTk express and was pretty impressed with the tool that it allowed me to classify the file in various ways (by file size, default based and by time and date based). Apart from that the interface made going through folders pretty easy and became my choice of explorer.
Since then FlexTk has gone up higher in version and has added lot more useful features too. I thought that it’s time for another review and time for another give away too! I’ve got a licence of FlexTk professional which costs $ 25 and a lucky winner can get it for free and use this excellent software for free and in legit way too :) I’ll tell you later in the post that how you can win this licence.
To give you a small intro about this software (for those who don’t know about it) :
FlexTk is an advanced file management toolkit allowing one to search and classify files, scan file systems etc.
In this new version the new features are :
1. Organize those files : This feature allows you to copy or move the entire directory to some other location and gives you the option if you want to just copy the content or you want to ensure that it keeps the current file attributes, permissions etc. You can also apply the operation on specific file types or create your own search criteria where you can specify that on which type of files, the operation needs to be performed.
2. Search with various options : FlexTk introduced the search feature which allows you to search any file, earlier it was missing however, now it has got it and has got enough options to satisfy the needs. It lets you search text with in files and a whole lot more options which will allow you to find the file pretty quickly.
These are some of the welcome changes and which make this utility even more useful. I use it as my default file explorer and I’m sure you’ll also do it, once you’ll use it.
Now comes the chance of winning the copy of FlexTk Professional :
You just need to signup at the our forums and simply share any computer tip or share a problem which you may be facing and we’ll try to help you out. It’s just that simple!

Twitter has been an excellent tool and the craze of Twitter is picking up really fast in India and this post tells the state of the Indian Twitosphere (the report is around 3 months old and I believe that the current state will be much better).
Anyway, yesterday I joined the First Delhi Twitter Meetup which was organized by bunch of enthusiastic twitter users. The idea behind the twitter meetup was to meet the users in person and to ensure that more and more people become aware of this amazing tool.
There were 20 + people in this twitter meetup and I have to give extend kudos to Gaurav Mishra (twitter user : gauravonomics; Gaurav has organized the first twitter meetup in India and that was the Mumbai Twitter meetup) who came all the way from Mumbai to Delhi to attend this meetup.

In the recent change in the Alexa ranking, YouTube has managed to replace it’s own parent company i.e. Google. Google went down from two spots and has secured the 4th position in the list of top 10 websites.
In other notable changes, hi5 has gone up by 1 point from 9th position to 8th and MSN has gone down from 6th to 7th.
It’s interesting to see the growth of YouTube as it’s pageviews are way too high as compared to Google and this graph from Alexa shows us the stats :
However, the reach of Google is still higher as compared to YouTube :

Well, the title must be giving you the doubts that why one would limit programs from getting admin access ? Right ? Well, the answer to this question is that limiting programs from getting admin access increases the security of your computer. Lemma explain it to you in details :
When you are logged in the computer as an administrator then all the programs have the admin rights too and thus when you visit any website which can install a malware can successfully install it because Internet Explorer has got the admin rights and thus those pests get installed without any issues.
However it’s a pain to run a limited user account too as there are various places where you frequently need admin access, so in this case it’s best if we can log in as administrator and if we can run Internet Explorer or Outlook express or any other application which can connect to the internet in limited rights mode.
Alright, it’s making sense how can I do it ?

Although this is a bit old news but Mozilla has released the Firefox 3’s beta 4 and has also ensured that the much awaited browser reaches the maximum users by releasing it in 40 different languages.
Current version of Firefox (version 2.0.0.12) has around 44 languages and Opera comes with option of 36 languages. Now the question arises that is there any use of so many languages ?
Why I think so ?
The most prevalent languages on the websites are English, Chinese, Russian, German and a few others however many other languages are really not used that much when it comes to websites. So what’s the big use of having the browser in the local language when the other person can’t access the websites in the same language.
