fring-iphone.jpg When iPhone was launched, the biggest drawback of the phone was that it didn’t support 3G (not that it affects me as i’m in India) and certainly was nothing but a piece of crap for me because it didn’t allow users to install third party applications. Well, officially it still doesn’t allow that (expected to happen in june 2008) however thanks to all the hackers and modders who’ve given us AppTapp and iBrickr and thus enable us to install various applications on iPhone.

Still I found that iPhone was not much use to me and the biggest reason was that there was no Skype for iPhone. I’m a die hard fan of Skype, although I don’t like to associate myself as a fan of anything but when it comes to Skype, I do have a soft corner for it.

We still don’t have Skype for iPhone and I’m wondering that why Skype didn’t go for partnership or created the application for iPhone when we all know that it can be JailBreaked ? Well, what ever the reasons may be but iPhone was unusable for me till the time it didn’t have Skype with it.

I’m sure every person in his/her life was an addict to comics. Normally it’s boys who are however comic makers have always targeted girls too and that’s why we had Super Woman, Bat Woman and hot looking Wonder WOMAN and this is just the tip of the iceberg, there are many and many more comic characters which most of you have drooled over some time or the other.comic-life.jpg

Well, I was never an artist but always got thrilled when I saw the amazing artistic skills in those comics which I’ve read all my life and always wondered that how the hell those guys were able to create these beautiful characters. Well, I can say that I’ve found their secret and that’s called Comic Life! (Well, in case you couldn’t find the pun behind it, then lem’me clear it that no software can ever have that sort of talent which those guys hold and draw those amazing characters from their hands!).

Comic Life although is an amazing software in it’s own sense. It’s a software which gives comic like looks to the images you choose or the ones which you can take with the help of insight camera.

The software has prebuilt templates of 16 different types of comic and each template type has got various other layouts which you can choose to build the fun comic.

When it comes to being an organized person, I will come on the last position for sure. I generally tend to forget the minor tasks of the day and they pile up to become headache in future.

In order to organize myself, I started to look for various software which could help me with my problem and then I came across the post of Darren Rowse, who suggested Task Paper and mentioned it as one of the essential application for bloggers.

What was considered to be the biggest innovation in the field of social networking turned in to the biggest pain for most of the users. I’m talking about the event when Facebook opened up it’s platform for all the developers. Then came the open social platform from Google and various social networks joined it.

Finally after about 5 and a half months of the launch of OpenSocial and about 3 months of testing of applications, Google has finally launched applications for Orkut. When I logged into Orkut, I got the ability to add applications and was able to see almost similar kind of applications which you get to see in Facebook.

What is interesting to see that it doesn’t ask you to add applications like it used to do in Facebook, at least it won’t create that application spam problem which we see normally in Facebook.

syncplicity-logo.jpgSyncplicity is a new service in the market of file synchronization services where we already have FolderShare, SugarSync and Dropbox.

I won’t write down the comparison between the services however, Syncplicity looks like a decent service and what attracts the most about this service is that they are thinking of providing unlimited space in future, when they come out of beta and that too for $ 20/month only.

Another reason to choose Syncplicity is that it syncs Google Docs and Facebook photos too. These are some of the PROS which put Syncplicity ahead of the competition. However life of a consumer is just isn’t that simple and we’ll always find something less or something more in any of the service.

Let’s find out that what are we not getting in Syncplicity anytime soon :
