Microsoft has started the promotional campaign of Windows Vista with WOW! Not sure about other countries but at least in India, Microsoft is making use of Coffee and Bollywood stars. So, the answer to the question (topic is the question) is YES. I recently, visited Cafe Coffee Day (as the name suggests, its a cafe chain in India) and I was surprised or rather Wowed to see the windows vista goodies and dedicated menu card in the shape of Windows vista logo. Apart from that, one can also order a coffee which they’ve named it as WOWFFEE!
They have also started a campaign where they are asking people to submit their photographs, so that the world can rate them and the top rated photos will get Windows Mobile Smart Phone. Apart from the Cafe Coffee Day promotional stunt, Microsoft is also organizing an event where top bollywood stars will appear and will do some shows and will try and promote Windows Vista (I noticed this in an advertisement on television). Well, I’m not sure why exactly Microsoft is doing all this to promote Windows Vista as almost both the things have no connection with showing off the power of Windows Vista and on top of that this will not help because doing all this will only make Windows Vista as a brand name and not the choice of OS of Indians, at least till the time they lower the prices otherwise Rapidshare is really popular in India.
