  24 Oct 2006 by ReviewSaurus

AOL has finally released its search engine called AOL Search with a tagline Enhanced By Google. The search engine is powered by Google but AOL search adds some functionalities in it. The service was released around 3-4 hours back only. The search engine has got a nice and cool interface some what similar to Google or Live search. The search has got the automatic suggest feature (Similar to Google Suggest) and gives the option of turning it off.

Along with that, AOL has made full integration multimedia content along with it and presents the preview of Videos, Images, News, Audio etc. in the right hand panel called FULL VIEW (the faint red area in the image below is the Full View area, I searched for the term CNN).

If you use Firefox as your browser then you can Visit AOL SEARCH EXTENSION page and install AOL search in your browser and then you can make use of the search engine. The good thing is that you’ll have the power of Google and some extras along with it. So, you do’nt need to wign that you can’t live without Google :D
