Google Enhances Webmaster Tools!

Google has released new features in Google Webmaster Tools and gives more control to the webmasters now. Google Webmaster tools now gives detailed report on the activity of Google Bot in the form of graph, allows webmasters to choose the crawl rate of the Google Bot, allows enhance image search and shows the number of links Google Sitemaps has recieved.

The features are really good as it allows webmasters to allow the activity of the Google Bot and gives the details as well, however, new webmasters must be cautious while using the feature of increasing the visit of GoogleBot because GoogleBot uses the bandwidth and if they’ll increase the visit of GoogleBot then the bandwidth consumption will also increase accordingly. As a suggestion, please have a look at the current bandwidth consumption and if you think that the consumption is with in your reach then you can take the appropriate steps.

In order to increase the GoogleBot’s crawl rate follow these instructions :

1. Go to Google Webmaster Tools (sitemaps) .
2. Go into Manage your domain.
3. Under Diagnostic Tab Click on Crawl Rate.
4. Choose the crawl rate of the GoogleBot :)
