Google Presentation is pretty close to the release and I’m hoping that we’ll have another useful application from Google’s headquarters soon.  Back in April, when Google took over Tonic Systems, everyone got sure that Google will be releasing presentations soon, however, Google has not created much spark after that, in the field of Office 2.0

But, now they’ve released a small feature in Gmail, where it is allowing you to view presentation files  as slideshow. This hint is more than enough that Google is all very close to release much seeked Google Presentations.

What do you think, will Google presentations create any impact or will it be a failure like Google Docs & Spreadsheet ?

Google Presentation tool will surely have an impact – in the long term. That’s my guess.

The real question though is how much of an impact Presentation application itself has on Office 2.0.

Most who use presentation are business analysts and such people. Do they really care about what application they are using? Do they care if it is a Microsoft product or something else?

@ Shankar :I guess that it will fail to attract the users, if you use other applications like Zoho or Thinkfree then you’ll realise that they are way ahead of Google’s Docs and spreadsheet.

@ Mahesh : Well, I agree that the business analysts or businessmen will not really care but it when it comes to Small Business then things actually count a lot. Buying a program like Microsoft powerpoint can cost a bit to the small business and so they’ll always prefer something which can give them the power of presentation and where they don’t have to invest any money too.
