Orkut has added a new feature called Ask Friends, few hrs. back and the feature is that you can ask questions from your friends and they can answer them for you.
This sounds more like LinkedIn Answers and I’m sure it will certainly make sense to have such applications in Orkut as these applications increase the social interaction and help you find more friends who have similar interests.
The process of adding the Ask friends feature is easy and you just have to go into the Edit Feeds and there you’ll get the option of adding this application. Once added, you can simply type in your question and either ask the question among all of your friends or simply chose some of them.
As you type your question, it automatically suggests few labels and you can either chose those or you can suggest few labels yourself. The relevancy is really great and the suggested labels are to the point.
What do you think about Ask Friends service. We all know, that Orkut is heading to become another Facebook and I’m sure that the popularity will only increase in coming future as Google sets to release OpenSocial – The Facebook killer!

Google seems to be concentrating on Orkut more specially with the debut of their new social networking protocol this week. It’s going to be interesting to see how they fare against Facebook.
