Popular Tumblr service, that allows one to create a microblog and offers host of features that lets you personalize the service to a whole new level has renamed its Tumblrette application (for iphone) to Tumblr for iPhone. The application used to cost $1.99 earlier and now its free.

I have to say that if at all, Twitter starts to provide the same kind of features as provided by Tumblr then it will become the hot favorite service and will add more and more fans as it has now. I myself will switch my personal domain name to Twitter service. So, if you are one of the Tumblr user and flaunt an iPhone then you will surely love this application!

I love Google’s Picasa as it is one wonderful image organizer and offers decent image editing options. After coming back from Tata Jagriti yatra, I had thousands of photographs to share with the world and I was thinking of uploading the photos to Picasa Web Album. For ease of use, I decided to use web uploader for Mac, as I was still under the impression that Google hasn’t released Picasa for Mac.

GMail team has launched the tasks feature as one of the labs feature of GMail, as announced in the latest blog post of the team’s blog.

People use Gmail to get stuff done, so we’ve added a lightweight way to keep track of what you need to do, right from within Gmail.

Well, this is indeed a great news for those who are using GMail as the main interface to check email, however I’m still going to keep myself to Apple’s Mail program as I found it way more convenient and fast as compared to using the web interface. Well, this sure is a good news, however it seems to me that it surely is a bad news for the Remember the Milk team.

I was going through the feed reader and remembered about Cuil search engine after going through a post by Amit, titled “search engine cuil is heading for oblivion“. Amit has discussed that how the hype created by Cuil is working against them and that the traffic reports aren’t that satisfactory. Although, he found out that the results by Cuil were better as compared to Google.
