lock-lock In India, there are not many free Wi-Fi spots however, it has happened to my friend that he attended one of the un-conference and some hacker had setup an ad-hoc connection pretending as if it’s the wi-fi spot and because of which his account got hacked.

Something similar was showcased by Robert Graham at BlackHat conference 2007. He made use of some tools which had created himself and hijacked the session IDs and cookies of the Gmail account and logged into the Gmail account without any trouble.

This can be easily avoided if you use secure interface of Gmail (HTTPS) however, Gmail by default loads itself in the normal mode but allows users to force the SSL mode but manually.

lotsaspace Well, this tip was shared by Sagaro, where you can easily check that what’ll be the size of your inbox of GMail account in future. For e.g. if you want to know that how much space you’ll be getting in GMail on Sept. 4th, 2008 then simply follow these steps :

1. Open GMail (Don’t login)
2. Open windows calendar by double clicking on the time/date in system tray.
3. Change the date to 4th Sept. 2008 and click OK.

anti-phishing-champI’ve been chosen as the Anti-Phishing Champion by PayPal and the badge on the left is in honor of that! Isn’t it cool ? Well, To be honest this was one of the image which was displayed on PayPal’s website when I took their quick quiz on Phishing.

There are many ways of reading the linux partitions in windows, however there are pretty less ways of writing on it. Ext2fsd is an excellent software which helps you in accessing the ext2 & ext3 partitions in windows and even lets you write the files on it too.

You can access those partitions just like you access any other partition (FAT or NTFS) in windows. Here are some of the quick tips of configuring Ex2Fsd :
