Blogger Interview : Kuan Hoong - Make money online with his blog!

  27 Jul 2007 by ReviewSaurus

Kuan hoong dot comIn this blogger interview series, I’ve done two interviews before and I’m sure that you must have found them interesting. This time around, I got the opportunity to interview Kuan Hoong. Let’s find out more about him and lets earn money online with Kuan’s help :

1. Would you like to introduce yourself to our readers ?

Hi guys and gals, my name is Kuan Hoong. I am a Malaysian and I am currently pursuing my Ph.D in Computer Science in Nagoya, Japan. I love photography, traveling and of course blogging. I love to make new friends and meet new people, that is why blogging is the best opportunity for me to do so.

2. If you could explain a bit about your blog and how you got into blogging ?

I started my first blog 3 years ago when I came to Japan. It was my personal blog where I tried to write down every single memorable event while I am in Japan. Recently 2 months ago, after gaining all the experiences I needed from Blogger platform, I started kuanhoong dot com. It is a blog where I share my knowledge of technology, search engine optimization (SEO) and Make Money Online. In a normal day, I would spend around 1-2 hours checking out the latest blog feeds and drafting my next blog post.

3. What are the various ways through which you make money from your blog and which suits you the best ?

I guess the simplest way for bloggers to start making money online is through Google AdSense. However, as the saying goes “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket”, there are other ways too. For example, I find Kontera and PayPerPost are two of the best examples that bloggers can make money online.

4. Which blogs do you like the most and why ?

I love to read blogs that touch on subjects like SEO and New Tech Startup. Some of my favorites blogs are TechCrunch, SEOmoz, and Mashable.

5. What are the suggestion you would like to give to other bloggers ?

As for suggestions, I guess that every blogger should start a blog on subjects that they are most passionate of. Don’t just think of making money from the start. At the initial stage, always try to build up good contents and good relationships with your readers and fellow bloggers. Remember blogging is hard work too.

6. Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers ?

Great, that’s all about me, I guess. If you want to know more, drop by my blog or connect with me through mybloglog, twitter, pownce, MySpace, flickr etc. :-)

I wish Kuan, best of luck for his Ph.D and success in blogging. I hope that you liked the interview and Kuan’s blog.
