ReviewSaurus - The Santa Claus!

santa.jpgHoliday season is going on and everyone is buying gifts for their loved ones. But, I’m sure that you are also expecting some gifts from your loved ones. Wow, I’ve started to receive the gifts already and my loved ones are Microsoft, Flickr, Google and more…

Let’s see what each of these have given me and what they’ve given to you as well. I know that these gifts are not specially for me but I’m sure that everyone loves gifts and each of you will love to find out what these gifts are.

I hope that we get more and more gifts from more and more companies and that we could have chance of giving more and more love to these companies in return (I know I am being selfish) :D. Now, lets have a look at the gifts or promotional steps taken from these companies :

1. Flickr increases the account sizes : Flickr has given one of the biggest gifts ever. Now, it gives unlimited space to its pro account holders and has upped the limit from 20 MB upload per month to 100 MB upload per month.

2. Google allows video uploads in Picasa : Now, you can upload videos as well in Picasa web albums, but this is not a real gift from Google as picasa web albums only gives away 250 MBs of space and which already less as compared to other services.

3. Microsoft collaborates with Santa : Microsoft now allows users and specially children to chat with the big jolly man through Msn messenger. You just need to add “Northpole@live.com in your messenger list and you can chat instantly with The Santa Claus! A really nice option to engage children :)

Can we expect more and more gifts from the companies and it will be nice to see some gifts coming from the startups. I believe that will give them the boost and enough popularity as Mike Arrington (Techcrunch.com) will be giving them enough traffic as a gift of Christmas, once they give cool gifts to the users.
