Like there is such a thing as a bad software. He might be right in saying that doing google searches is not such an empirical way of finding out if Vista sucks or not, but from a personal perspective, I've been around when XP launched, and also Vista launched. And I have to admit that Vista generates more hate than XP. It might be natural hiccups with a new operating system, but saying that there is no such thing as a bad OS is generalizing it too much. Remember Windows ME? It's such a load of crap that even Windows lovers hated it. Who knows, Vista might be something of that sort. What I want to say is, maybe comparing Vista and OSX is not such a great idea, because OSX is way superior ;). But when people are downgrading from Vista to XP and actually calling it an <i>upgrade</i>, then probably there is something smelly in there. Of course there is such a thing as a bad OS.
