Microsoft Office Word 2007 has the feature which marks the documents as final and makes the document un-editable. Lets learn how we can create a document as Marked as Final and that in which case we may need it :

The case where we may need it :

* A document which has the terms and conditions.
* A contract with you client.
* Some plan on which you are working with your colleagues and the document can be marked to show the final plan.
* Human resource department may use it to circulate final policies to the employees with satisfaction that employees will receive the document as it is.
* and more situations which you may come across…..

How we can mark the document as final :

The steps are pretty simple and you just have to make 2 clicks to achieve this task…

* Click on the Microsoft Office 2007 Logo on top.

* Go to Prepare
* Click on Mark as Final
* That’s it.

    NIce one, but is there any way to do the same for powerpoint presentations. I didnt find this option in PPT 07. Any other way to do so?

    @ Vaibhav : Its the same way of doing it. Just go to the Top MS Office 2007 Logo, then go to Prepare and then select Mark as Final. I can see that option right there. May be consider updating the Office 2007.
