How to make QuickLaunch more powerful!

I believe that one of the most small and useful feature of Windows Taskbar is Quick Launch toolbar. You can easily place shortcuts of most used applications, folders etc. so that they are just 1 click away from you!

However, when you are a heavy user of the computer and you add more and more shortcuts to quick launch, then you’ll realize that the space for the taskbar gets less. Well, to counter that problem you can easily drag the handle to left, so that two arrows come up like this >> and when you click on them, you get the whole list of shortcuts.

Over a period of time, even that becomes a pain when you get a huge list of shortcuts and thus the benefit of quick launch just dies. FreeLaunchBar is one utility which I use the most and what it does is that it allows you to create small menus in Quick Launch and lets you easily categorize them.

That’s how I keep my Quick Launch categorized and thus quick launch becomes a really powerful section of the taskbar.

I can access all frequently accessed folders, applications, pretty easily and that makes life simpler for me.
