Would having all you text content as bold make it less seo savvy?

@ Melanie : Thanks for dropping by and sharing such wonderful piece of information. I'm sure this is going to certainly help many of us and including me too. I was aware of the relevance but I only started making use of the meta keywords recently. But, now I'll go ahead and concentrate more on this after reading what you've just said :)

Nice summary, I would only caution one thing. You make the mention that ""I know this accounts to nothing these days but still there is no harm in providing the information. "", but that is not accurate....You title Meta tag for example is the most important element on the entire page. The description Meta tag is also highly necessary and importance...these tags are jusdged by thier relevance and when the relevance score is high you will gian serious organic SERP ground. This is a link to Search Ranking Factors V2, which was a collaborativeeffort of 37 SEO geniuses from all over the world. http://www.seomoz.org/article/search-ranking-factors Including Rand Fishkin and Aaron Wall....Really a great document. The only tags relly not utilizedanymore are robots follow, because it spells out a default behavior, abstract descritpion is no longer used, and the keyword tag is not used by most engines...but I caution you some smaller Meta engines still use it...So as you said it is still good to have.
