Ever wanted to run those old DOS based games or software ? Do you want to play your favorite old DOS based game but can’t because you are using a Macintosh or Linux ? Well, no need to think about these questions anymore as DOSBOX is the open-source application which can help you right away!
DOSBOX is a DOS emulator which can run on Windows, Linux, Mac, FreeBSD and few others and which can run DOS based games (but not limited to them) easily with sound too.
Originally it was made to support the games which can’t be run by latest OSes but few users have reported that it can be easily used to run old DOS based applications too.
