Vista : How to stop an application from running in startup!

  29 Jul 2007 by TipsoSaurus

There are many programs which load up in the startup of the Windows, however there are times when we realize that we don’t need all those softwares loading up in the startup because not only they make the windows boot up slow but also waste valuable amount of RAM.

In order to control these programs we can follow these tips and we can disable these programs from loading up in the startup :

1. Click on Start Menu.
2. Open up Control Panel.
3. On the top search box, type Startup.
4. Open up the Windows Defender Icon, which says “Stop a program from running at startup.

You’ll see the list of programs which load in the startup. From that screen you can manage that which software you want to allow and the ones which you want to disable or remove. Once you disable or remove the program, it won’t load up in the startup.

How do you remove an application if the disable button does not come on when clicked? The other do. Thanks, Rich
