Few days back one of the ReviewSaurusr (oops, web 2.0 effect on the dino!!) Abhishek Bhatnagar of TechnixUpdate asked a question that how exactly he can insert images in the Windows Live Writer as he’s using Blogger as his platform and it is only possible to publish the images with Windows live writer through FTP. Now, that is actually a big concern because, if one already has webspace then the person will love to upload the whole blog on that webspace only and not on blogger. But, now that we know that this option is not there, then lets see what alternative can be used, to insert the images in blog posts through Windows Live Writer and that too for blogger platform. Although, I’m late in making this post as Abhishek has already moved over to self hosted WordPress, but I thought that at least this post will help others.
In order to achieve this we have to use a plugin for Windows Live Writer called Flickr4Writer. This plugin allows users 
to insert images from a particular user in the blog posts and even insert the images which are uploaded by other users. Although, this is not the best of the solution at this point of time but considering the fact that how difficult it can be when you are using a blogging client and blogger as the publishing platform, it is a much easier solution and worth as well. You just have to upload the images on your flickr account first and then you can easily insert those images using Flickr4Writer. I’m sure that you’ll simply love this very famous plugin and if you are a regular Flickr user then you’ll find yourself, getting addicted with this wonderful plugin.

So, I had that problem, my i am sure the flickr isnt my solution…
i have already others image hosting (free) but i cannt configure the FTP correctly with any of them… i am so sad about that.
Really i want to go to wp next year, but i think i want mt domain and then the wp! Now i dont have possiblities to have all this, so this is my dream. But until there i want a solution to my case. I really appreciate if you can help me!

Just found a nice workaround for uploading images without having hosting ftp services.
Here is how.
You need to install ‘HTTP File server software’ (hfs, for short) you can find, free, at this address: http://www.rejetto.com/hfs/
Run and configure it, assigning a port number (say: 1234) and Add to it an image folder from your disk.
Then, when in Windows Live Writer, select Insert Picture>Insert picture from Web. In the Picture URL box, insert your IP address, port and image file name (eg.:http://192.168.1.3:1234/TiddlyWiki/image1.gif).
That’s all.

Obviously Live Writer don’t upload images to Blogspot, but only its (ftp) address. So, when the htfs service is down, no more pics on your post!!!

Anyway, I’ve got solution to your problem that although your blog is in Italian but you can make use of babelfish (http://babelfish.altavista.com/) and apply the translator on your blog. That way, you’ll have reader from all sort of countries.
Some of you may have found it troublesome that you must first upload to Flickr before you can use the images in WLW. Though not really a solution to this problem, there is a fix to make the uploading process faster. This will work only if you have Windows XP. I don’t think 2000 has this option, and I’m not sure about Vista.
Run this REG file: http://www.flickr.com/tools/wizard.reg
Now you can simply use the XP Photo Publishing Wizard (you’ll find it in sidebar in any folder with pictures) to upload to Flickr.
For other operating systems (98/2K/XP/Vista/Linux/Mac) or if you’d like to try another solution:

Here you’ll find lot more tools to easily upload images to Flicker.
