Makaan.com - Property site to be launched by People Interactive!

HouseProperty sites are becoming a hot market in India and this market is currently ruled by 99acres.com & magicbricks.com

The market is getting bigger and bigger because of the incentives which one gets by running a portal like this. Because, the brokers can be kept away and people can do direct selling or renting over the site.

After Info edge Ltd. (Company behind 99acres.com, naukri.com & jeevansaathi.com) & Bharatmatrimony Group (company behind bharatmatrimony.com, clickjobs.com & Indiaproperty.com) People Interactive Ltd. is moving in this space with their new venture called Makaan.com (Will be launched soon). It was speculated that this new venture will 2BHK.com & same was speculated by Hindustan Times too however, it will be Makaan.com instead.

The claims done by Makaan.com is that they’ll be changing the way people transact online in this field. Lets see what difference Makaan.com will make in the way and how tough the competition will be for the current players.

    Probably, your news source isn’t perfect then. Well, Yes I’ve already read that article :). Your blog is really nice and covers the Indian sites pretty well.

    The source were Marketing Managers at People Interactive! It’s just off late that they must have realised that such a name might not work in India as people might think that there are only 2BHK flats available on the site!

    The post on WATblog which you commented on is more than a year old btw…launch has been hugely delayed.

    Ah! I didn’t notice that it was such an old post. Yes, it seems that launch has been delayed. Maybe because they are planning to launch something unique and the thing which is no done by the competitors.

    Real estate sites are booming in India, recently Magic Bricks also have started aggressive ads in TV and Google.

    @ Nirmal : Real estate sites are doing wonders. Magic Bricks is doing it now, 99acres has been doing it from long time.
