(Company behind 99acres.com, naukri.com & jeevansaathi.com) & Bharatmatrimony Group (company behind bharatmatrimony.com, clickjobs.com & Indiaproperty.com) People Interactive Ltd. is moving in this space with their new venture called Makaan.com (Will be launched soon). It was speculated that this new venture will 2BHK.com & same was speculated by Hindustan Times too however, it will be Makaan.com instead.
The claims done by Makaan.com is that they’ll be changing the way people transact online in this field. Lets see what difference Makaan.com will make in the way and how tough the competition will be for the current players.

The source were Marketing Managers at People Interactive! It’s just off late that they must have realised that such a name might not work in India as people might think that there are only 2BHK flats available on the site!

Ah! I didn’t notice that it was such an old post. Yes, it seems that launch has been delayed. Maybe because they are planning to launch something unique and the thing which is no done by the competitors.
Real estate sites are booming in India, recently Magic Bricks also have started aggressive ads in TV and Google.
