digibook-main The software

DigiBookShelf is a virtual album manager using which you can organize, view and play a little with your image files. Packed with a myriad of features, it makes viewing your images a pleasant experience. Lets have a look at some of these features and other pros and cons of the software-

Features

1. Drag and Drop supported : You can simply drag and drop the images in the album in order to add them to it.

2. Visual effects : The software arranges your albums into different bookshelves. Each album is stacked in the respective bookshelf like a book which can opened by clicking on it. The albums too look like virtual books where you can turn pages by clicking on them. Thus visually the software is a treat.

3. Audio attachments : You can attach audio clips too with your albums and images thus enhancing your experience.

4. Web Page and Executable Creation : You can create a web page of an album or export it as an executable file which makes sharing of those images easier.

5. Image Editing : You can also edit the image of your choice to some extent. The different functions that you can perform on your images are - resize, crop, flip, rotate, transform, color corrections and add a fleet of interesting filters. You can also save the image in a different format.

The Best Part

Some other factors that make this software a must have are the extremely user friendly interface and zero cost. The interface may look a bit confusing prima facie but believe me its ease of use at its best. With every bookshelf, album and image visible as virtual entities, navigation is not at a problem. As for the settings, what better could you expect than a right click opening of a comprehensive settings window!

Cons

All said and done I feel one might not remain addicted to this software for a long time. The prime reason being that simplicity often rules and that’s where a software like Picasa scores heavily over this one.

Bottom Line

A unique and pleasing tool but too flashy to beat some of its elegant competitors.
