DivShareThere are many file sharing websites available on the internet, however we all know that how difficult it is, to find out a service which offers a decent plan or package. To name a few services, we’ve got Rapidshare & Megaupload (major ones). However, the problem is that these services have put various restriction on the free users and most of the times, their ad placement is quite forced and that’s why as a user, you can get frustrated. The biggest problem with these file sharing services is that they allow you to upload files but for a limited period i.e. if the file is not accessed or downloaded for long time, then they are removed from their servers.

However, now we’ve got DivShare with us and this file hosting service is improving day by day. The good thing about this service is that it has got such wonderful offers that you’ll easily fall in love with this service. Let’s look at various aspects of DivShare and why it is better than others.

1. Unlimited is the key : DivShare = Unlimited! Well, that’s what exactly comes in mind, when I saw this service. They’ve kept almost everything as unlimited. You can upload unlimited number of files and serve unlimited downloads. The files stay on their servers for unlimited time. Yes, it looks like dream but I’ve actually heard great comments about this service from various bloggers and visitors. Although, there is one limited thing and that is the file size can be only 200 Mb, however as compared to other service, it is almost four times more!

2. Easy and nice interface : DivShare has a very nice and neat interface and even the ads on the website are unobtrusive. It has a progress meter to show you the upload percentage. Lets you customize your download page and the best thing is that they let you co-brand your download pages too and that too for free.

3. New features added regularly : Recently, DivShare has added the support for hosting of files directly from wordpress and has also added an embeddable mp3 player for podcasts or music files. They’ve constantly updated their service and with the addition of new feature, they make it more addictive.

Well, at this point of time I can easily say that DivShare looks really promising and after have a word with David Altschul (Co-Founder of DivShare), my belief has grown that DivShare will be easily able to rule the file sharing services. DivShare is one service which I’ll recommend anyone, when it will come to file sharing.

@ Abhishek : Ofcource the point that we have to wait for downloads is definitely a negative of Rapidshare. Divshare is most likely going to release their paid model and so we can rely on them without any problems.

@ Haxor : Well, I’m not sure that if you are talking about the free version or the premium version of Torpark. If you are talking about Free version then you have to wait for the downloads and the connection runs really really slow. So, if you don’t have a better connection, then Torpark is not the right choice.

One BIG problem with Divshare… You can’t use download managers – even if you’re a premium user!!!
You’ll soon fall out of love with Divshare if a big (and rather slow) download breaks at 99%. You’ll have to start all over again!
Rapidshare still rules if Divshare don’t sort this out.

Well, I agree with you Dave that Divshare has this problem but as you may have noticed that they release new features pretty fast and quickly. I had a word with co-founder of Divshare and they may include this feature in sometime with the premium package.

    I think that’s fair enough :)

reviewsaurus: yes, Divshare are very good at updating their offer. Let’s hope they get round to download managers soon. Quite a few people have reported slow and broken downloads. I’ll go back to Divshare once D/L managers are allowed but, for now, Rapidshare offers constant and blazing fast downloads, even if they don’t have the other bells and whistles.

divshare is reall aweful, you have to give them money in order to download
in rapidshare you can download as long as you want untill the download is either idle or deleted

    Rapidshare > DiveShare (booo)

Actually you don't have to give us money to download or use the service. There is a free account no need to pay if you don't want to. We would hope that you would, because the service does cost money to run. But there are free accounts.

Oh, and we are here for the long run rumors to the contrary we are very much alive and growing.

    Thanks for the comments.

filez0ne.com hasn't really got going yet but its starting to look like it could outdo all of these sites.. has crazy features… any audio/video is automatically converted to mp3/flv so it can be played in the browser and you can even upload a zip or rar and have it extract any audio/video files and add them to the site as separate files… none of the others can do that yet :) and its free and has 150mb filesize limit.

Umm, habooba not true. We have always done conversions, it's how we have done things from day one. As for the zip / rar give us a day… :-)
