Last time I’d reviewed FlexTk express and was pretty impressed with the tool that it allowed me to classify the file in various ways (by file size, default based and by time and date based). Apart from that the interface made going through folders pretty easy and became my choice of explorer.
Since then FlexTk has gone up higher in version and has added lot more useful features too. I thought that it’s time for another review and time for another give away too! I’ve got a licence of FlexTk professional which costs $ 25 and a lucky winner can get it for free and use this excellent software for free and in legit way too :) I’ll tell you later in the post that how you can win this licence.
To give you a small intro about this software (for those who don’t know about it) :
FlexTk is an advanced file management toolkit allowing one to search and classify files, scan file systems etc.
In this new version the new features are :
1. Organize those files : This feature allows you to copy or move the entire directory to some other location and gives you the option if you want to just copy the content or you want to ensure that it keeps the current file attributes, permissions etc. You can also apply the operation on specific file types or create your own search criteria where you can specify that on which type of files, the operation needs to be performed.
2. Search with various options : FlexTk introduced the search feature which allows you to search any file, earlier it was missing however, now it has got it and has got enough options to satisfy the needs. It lets you search text with in files and a whole lot more options which will allow you to find the file pretty quickly.
These are some of the welcome changes and which make this utility even more useful. I use it as my default file explorer and I’m sure you’ll also do it, once you’ll use it.
