Flickr has recently released the updated version of Uploadr and now this excellent utility stands at version 3 but still in beta. The first impression of Flickr Uploadr version 3 (beta) was Yahoo! Finally it makes sense as an uploader!.

Updated version allows you specify sets (as in the last versions), tags and lets you change the name of the images and add description to them. It makes more sense as an image uploader now and to be honest has made me one of the Flickr fan too!

The interface is quite sleek and clean. It lets you manage everything on the screen itself and doesn’t confuse you at all. If you are a Flickr user then it’s a must have for you!

Good write up bro. I always use to hate the flickr uploaded and that’s why I never used it. Now it’s better.

I stopped using Flickr although it has good features because you cannot create more than 3 sets in basic version. I’m using Kodak and very much satisfied with it.
I had used the new uploader only on 2 occasions.

@ Rajesh : Yes, I’m using Flickr for my personal blog which is http://www.mayankgupta.com

@ Nirmal : I know that Flickr only allows three sets but I prefer to make use of it by generalising the sets….i.e. 1 set is family, 1 set friends & the other set misc. and then I tag the photos properly to ensure I just get what I want :)
