I’d mentioned about Haute Secure in one of my earlier articles however at that point of time it only supported Internet Explorer and thus I thought that it wasn’t ready for review, however now this software supports Firefox too and I thought that it’s in a better position for a review.
Introduction to Haute Secure 2 :
Haute Secure is a security software which blocks the malware from getting installed on your computer in real time.
How useful this software is ?
Haute Secure is an excellent software and was able to block all the websites which were harmful in any way be it the one which was trying to install malware or the one which was related to phishing.
The software does what it’s supposed to do, however there are various suggestions which I’d like to give to them and most of them are related to the interface, so here are my suggestions :
1. Improve the toolbar : The toolbar is really not up to the mark. There are only 3 buttons in it and wastes the space (browser’s real estate) and really doesn’t give any benefit as the community features were not working properly. I guess that they should allow users to ensure that they can move the buttons from that toolbar to other toolbars. Like I can easily move PageRank information button of Google toolbar to the bookmarks toolbar area or the main menu bar.
2. Haute Secure admin access : They provide with a system tray icon however, it just tells about the Haute Secure or gives you the option of disabling it. I think they should also allow users to access the admin area from that icon.
What I think about this software -
I think it’s a must install for each and everyone as it does it’s task pretty well. They just need to work on the toolbar and have to work a little bit on the user interface.
