Alright, it seems that Linux community is now working hard towards ensuring that they can port windows users to Linux. They are trying to achieve this by making a smart move out and by giving the taste of KDE to the windows users, so that they can switch to Linux easily in future.
KDE community has released the KDE app install for windows which provides various KDE applications for windows. Well, the effect of this will be that people will slowly become familiar with those applications and then it will become easier for them to switch to Linux desktop.
I think now someone is applying brain and making smart move because it’s just not so easy to take away people from windows until and unless you show them that Linux is not the same as it used to be few years back.
They are not only porting KDE apps for windows but they are making it available for MAC too. I really doubt that Mac community will welcome this but for sure, many windows users (I’m one of them) will certainly try this. I’m already running KDE installer and I’ll post my first impressions soon.
