After switching to Mac, I’d downloaded some of the most recommended software and Transmission is one software which has been recommended by each and everyone when it comes to torrents and Mac OS X.
Transmission is an excellent open source software and it’s simplicity makes it favorite of every torrent user on Mac OS X.
The software is pretty simple and as soon as you add the torrent it lets you select that which all files you want to download and where would you like to store the files. It lets you easily limit the upload or download speed and gives you the option of stop seeding when Transmission reaches certain share ratio.
Good thing about this software is that it gives you the access to the commonly used features right under 1 or 2 clicks and if you want to access the advanced information then you can always choose the option to do so.
One other feature which impressed me is that it shows the upload and download speed on the icon which is present in the Dock. So you don’t need to fire up the main window again and again, where you just want to see the upload and download speed.
Overall this software will certainly win your heart if at all you haven’t used it already. If you have used and didn’t like it then trust me, you need to give it a shot once again as you won’t find any simpler and better torrent software for OS X.
In simple words and to ensure that any switcher from Windows understands that what exactly Transmission is all about then you can call it uTorrent of Mac OS X.
