Long back (in my blogger days), I’d covered Foxit Reader (a fast and free alternative to Adobe Reader) and I was fairly impressed with it. The software opened pretty fast and did the job really well. After a long time, I’m now reviewing another PDF reader software called PDF Xchange Viewer.
Well, there is only one word which comes in my mind after using the software and testing it and I.e. Excellent!
The software not only opens faster than Adobe reader, it also allows you to put sticky notes, add text to the PDF documents (which can further be seen with any other reader) and yes, it remembers the page where you closed the document last time!
It’s Great! It has all the features of Adobe Reader plus it has few more extra but still I would have felt really great if I could say It’s Complete! Unfortunately, it isn’t.
I would love to see in PDF XChange Viewer :
Browser Plugin, so that it can open the files directly on the browser. Although, I personally don’t like to open them in browser but many users prefer it that way only.
It’s available as two versions, full and portable. The portable version is not only small in download size, you don’t have to worry about installing any software. I like portable version better!
Software version & other Info :
Publisher : Tracker Software Products Ltd
Version : 1.0.31
License : Freeware
Required OS : Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista
Final verdict :
I’ve made this as the default PDF reader on my personal computer!

Hmm, I will give this a try and see how it compares with Foxit in term of speed. Nice find though.
I too read about this reader in quite a few blogs. Let me try it out.
@ Nirmal : I’m sure you’ll find it pretty handy. I’m really impressed with this software!
I've never Heard of it I'll review straight away, Since i like Foxit Reader i just did a review on it. but if you say its fast thats what i'm looking for fast software that does the job
Foxit sucks compared to this. I uninstalled Foxit after it made errors while I was filling out a pdf form. Then I went searching for an alternative, and came across XChange Viewer. It's the best, period I think Foxit is partially popular because it sounds similar to Firefox IMO.
XChange Viewer now opens in browser from what I can see.
Replaced Foxit (which is rapidly headed into Adobe bloat-land) with PDF XChange Viewer Portable.
Works great.
Wow – very good find and the browser plugin you wanted is now there – guess they listened :)
Really cool interface and superb fast rendering – dumped Foxit and vomited over the attrocious Nitro thing.
Love it !
