We are all moving towards a faster world! Speed tops the list of performance parameters everywhere and especially the world of computers has always been marked with this syndrome. Faster Internet speed, Faster data channels, Faster processors. It is a world where things happen in nanoseconds. After all faster work is what the PC was actually made for! And so the last thing you want is a sluggish PC to give you in.
Now although the speed of a Computer is by large decided by its configuration and the dependent hardware drivers, one can tune it up to provide an optimum performance. There are various tools available for this and here are going to review one of them which is Uniblue’s SpeedUpMyPC.
After using and analyzing the software we came up with the following reasons to show it our thumbs up:
1. Like all other Uniblue products, SpeedUpMyPC has a simple and neat interface.
The overview tab gives you a general idea of the PC health and the issues at hand. The Optimization tab consists of the various optimization features while the clean up tab comprises of all the features that are related to memory management. To help you decide when and how to start the software, there is the settings tab.
2. Features
These are certain features that are the hallmark of this software and form the reasons for you to give the software a positive nod.
Optimization
You can optimize your CPU, Memory, Internet, Disk and startup options which virtually leaves nothing else to be optimized on the system. Thus the list is quite exhaustive.
The real time graph in each section is a big plus. It really gives a better idea about the system performance to a non-advanced user.
Clean Up
While this section provides the usual cleanup tools which in their functionality are not very different from other clean up tools in the market, it provides another very useful tool called the file shredder using which you can easily break down your files to smaller sizes.
The reason why one can show a thumb down to this software may be
1. Nothing Unique
It does not offer anything that is unique. One can manage all the functionality of this software through a couple of other softwares too.
But then it does bring everything under one window and the ease of use it provides makes it a decent bet.

Overall review and Views
The software is a good solution for the tuning up of the PC. It has a good and versatile functionality and is pretty user friendly.Although I would love to see it with certain new features like may be a registry maintenance tool integrated in it, for the time being it looks a product worth a share of your program files directory.

there is a lot that this claims. One of things it does is clean up RAM at regular intervals. I found it more a pain than of any use. Instead if a software to manage the RAM more effectively and not allow programs to hound the memory it would be better. for starters, when i unload an applicaiton, many a times Windows does not unload it from RAM completely. If this could be done, then it would be of great use.
