Spyware! That’s one word that pops up whenever we talk about PC security. Although there are hundreds of spyware detectors and fixing softwares with some of them pretty effective too (e.g. AdAware , SpyBotS&D etc). However its always a good idea to have a light monitor program running in your tray which can detect a possible spyware right at the time of its creation. Spy-The-Spy is just that!
Pros of Spy the Spy
1. Monitors your PC
As soon as the tool detects an executable file being created it makes you aware of that. Often it may be yourself installing an application but on other occasions it proves to be of great use when it helps you detect the spywares before they can do any serious damage to your PC.
2. Performance friendly
It does not consume much of your resources while it runs in the tray
3. Can monitor specific folders
Cons of Spy the Spy
1. There is a serious limitation to the software - it can only detect a spyware and not stop it.
2. It does not scan the system for spywares. Thus previously installed spywares may still pevail on the system.
3. No proper Interface. It runs just from the tray.
4. New users may find it difficult to use and it’s more for intermediate level of users.
Thus it can not be used as a lone solution for spywares. It can only be used as a complimentary tool along with spyware removers.
Bottom Line
Quite Useful. Go for it only if you know that you are quite comfortable with softwares and that you can play around with Google to fix up the bad stuff. For new users, I’ll say that it will be better to just stick around with WinPatrol.

cool…yes you need a live lightweight spyware detector…and I have one running…
Last time my computer was effected by a spyware and I had installed Spyware S&D. Since this is lighter on resources, I’ll try it.
Good review of the product…I like how you split your reviews up into pros and cons, very useful.
@ Aseem : Thanks for the comment and dropping by as usual :). I’m glad you like this way. I’ve developed it over the time and Shashank (the author of this post) is just doing great job :)
