I use XP at work and maintain it on 3 family systems at home. My laptop came with Vista and my DIY desktop unit is Ubuntu. XP is a lot easier to maintain and as stated earlier Vista is not tweak friendly. Ubuntu Rocks! I am very pleased to find out about andLinux.

Hmmm..I pretty happy right now with XP. Just to add some excitement on Vista, I just donning my XP with the Vista skin called the Vista Inspirat. See how cool it is in my site :)

This was the same thought when XP was launched, I still remember people saying XP has lot of issue. Its natural that when a new version comes up old versions have to give way for them. I moved to Vista 2 months back and I feel its better than Vista.

Im using XP on my Desktop and Vista on my new Lappie. Vista has given me a dozen or so BSOD’s since I got it in Nov of last year. All occur when I tweak it a tad. Its not tweak friendly at all.

My vote used to be XP, but now I’m more on the fence since support for drivers and the like are now starting to come around a bit.

My work laptop and desktop run XP, while my family laptops use Vista. I would prefer Vista (can’t use it now because it has not been adopted by the corporation). I don’t like what Microsoft did with Windows Explorer in Vista, but other features have been improved (Start menu, widgets, performance).

XP all the way. Not only for stability, but also for req. system resources.

Besides, I don’t find anything revolutionary in Vista, so see no point in busting $200+ for a copy of Vista.

Same’s the case with Leopard vs Tiger. I wonder what’s going on with Apple and MS – trying to squeeze all our money?

I tried both the OSes and right now I am using XP only. The first impression that I got after working for few days on Vista was that it was launched in a hurry without fixing many of its internal bugs. I don’t know why Microsoft was so much eager to launch it in the market. Vista is total waste.

XP on the other hand is the best OS produced ever by Microsoft. I am anxiously waiting for the release of Windows 7. I am sure Microsoft will not commit that mistake again. Windows 7 will compete with XP, that’s for sure. But again it’s just my perspective.
