Windows becomes Linux : Install/Update your apps Linux way!

  19 Dec 2007 by ReviewSaurus | , , , , ,

AppUpdater is a free command line utility, which acts like Linux’s apt-get command. This utility  lets you automatically install, update & remove various applications through one single command (each for each process).

Appupdater is available for Windows, Unix, MAC OS X & Linux, however it’s no where close to apt-get (at least the repository of Ubuntu), so I’ll suggest not to install it on linux and stay happy with apt-get. Windows users should install this software for sure, as they’ll find it much better and most of the applications supported by this amazing utility will suffice your day to day activity with the computers.

You may request for adding more applications  and I believe that if the project picks up then it will surely be able to beat apt-get package installer.

Brad of DownloadSquad has mentioned the most useful and common commands over here however, if you are looking for the official guide then visit here.
